Nicole Vargas Guevara is Senior Manager for Workers’ Compensation at Stanford University, managing the Workers’ Compensation Program for the University & SLAC for Risk Management and Insurance, which you can find more information about here.

Nicole has been at Stanford for 18 years. Prior to joining OCRO, Nicole was with Stanford Residential & Dining Enterprises (R&DE) in their HR department for 10 years. While building the Leave & Disability Program for R&DE, Nicole fostered skills needed to manage the day-to-day challenges of disability and absence management, and workers’ compensation.

Nicole received a Bachelor of Science from St. Mary’s College of California. She is a Certified Professional in Disability Management, Certified Leave Management Specialist, and OSHA-10 Certified, and she is a member of the Disability Management Employer Coalition.
