Vinita Bali is the Director of Global Risk. Vinita joined Stanford in March 2017. She brings fifteen years experience in academia, handling global program management since 2008. Prior to joining Stanford, she served as Dean, International Programs at Foothill-De Anza Colleges (2015-2017), and as Managing Director, Center for Global Law & Policy at Santa Clara University School of Law (2002-2015).
Vinita holds a Juris Doctorate degree, and a specialized master's in law degree in International & Comparative Law. In addition to managing international programs since 2008, Vinita practiced business and corporate law from 1997 to 2002, has has taught law both domestically and internationally since 2002. She serves as a Judge Pro Tem for Santa Clara County, volunteers on various non-profit board including on the Advisory Board for Santa Clara law school's Center for Social Justice. She has published articles on law and education, and has presented at numerous international conferences on global issues.
