Bio: 

Allison Barnum is the Director, Ethics and Compliance at Stanford University. Allison directs the University’s Ethics and Compliance program, which provides oversight, support and coordination to the distributed compliance functions across the University. Allison leads the core functions of the Ethics and Compliance program, including compliance risk assessments, compliance assessments, and Code of Conduct training. Allison also directs special projects and oversees management of the Ethics and Compliance Helpline.

Prior to joining Stanford, Allison worked for thirteen years at the Law Foundation of Silicon Valley, where she served as an Attorney, Pro Bono Manager, and Directing Attorney of Pro Bono & Strategic Initiatives. While at the Law Foundation, Allison represented clients in custody, domestic violence, immigration, and education matters. Allison also designed, implemented and managed legal services programs for underrepresented individuals in Santa Clara County.

Allison received her B.A. in Political Science from Stanford University and her J.D. from University of California at San Francisco. Allison is a member of the California Bar.
