Export Controls
Export control laws exist to advance US national security, foreign policy, anti-terrorism and non-proliferation objectives by imposing restrictions on the transfer of regulated items and information to certain countries and their nationals. Stanford’s Office of Export Controls works assiduously to maintain an open, unrestricted and participatory environment on campus, while ensuring that the Stanford community is informed and protected when export controls apply.
